Remembering Our Heroes: Honoring Remembrance Day in Vancouver

As November rolls around, Canadians across the country prepare to observe Remembrance Day on November 11th. This day marks the anniversary of the end of World War I and serves as a time to honor and remember the sacrifices made by Canadian veterans and current service members.

In Vancouver, Remembrance Day is a particularly significant occasion. The city is home to a number of memorials and ceremonies that pay tribute to those who have served. One of the most prominent events is the Remembrance Day Parade, which takes place downtown and is attended by thousands of people each year.

As Canadian poet and soldier John McCrae wrote in his famous poem "In Flanders Fields": "To you from failing hands we throw / The torch; be yours to hold it high." This quote serves as a reminder to all Canadians to not only honor those who have served and sacrificed, but to continue to strive for peace and freedom in our own lives and in the world around us.

At Sense Eyewear, we are proud to be a part of a community that values and remembers the sacrifices made by Canadian service members. As we take a moment to reflect on the importance of this day, we are reminded of the bravery and dedication of those who have served, and we express our deepest gratitude for their sacrifices. Lest we forget.
