Kaneko Optical, founded in 1958 as an eyeglass wholesaler, has become a recognized trendsetter in the Japanese eyewear industry. With their own planning, design, and sales of eyewear brands, they actively collaborate with major collections and apparel manufacturers to create original brands. Kaneko has exhibited at important international shows since 1998 and established a presence overseas. In 2006, they opened their own manufacturing division to bring eyewear production in-house and expand the artisanal manufacturing tradition. With three factories in Sabae, Japan, they perform almost all eyeglass production steps in-house. Kaneko's goal is to inspire the world through eyewear, adding to cultural richness and sharing prosperity with all contributors.
